Projectile weapons are simple devices, using specialised ammunition propelled at high velocity. These weapons are actually rather rare, despite continual usage for at least several millennia.

The discharge mechanism takes a bullet - usually a special ammunition with associated damage and impact characteristics - and propels it with a simple electro-magnetic mass-driver.

The typical ammunition includes simple slugs (normal bullets, not cat-devouring gastropods), as well as bullets with loads that have interesting effects. The ammunition will dictate the damage, force, and armour rating of the weapon. See Ammunition

Obviously, the main drawback to these weapons is the need to continuously replenish the ammunition. In combat, it will use up one die to remove a new clip from whereever it is being stored and one die to reload the weapon.
