The weapon releases a large electric charge that arcs through the air to the target, causing burns as it grounds. The path the current takes is initially guided by a magnetic field away from the charge emitter on the pistol, but is also attracted to conductors. Consequently, the weapon has a bonus to hit for the veering-towards-people effect of the discharge, and has a spread effect due to the charge's ability to split flow amongst handy targets.

An electric pulse has +3 to hit naturally before any fitting or targeting and full damage can be spread to 1-3 targets in close proximity.
