The blast rifle is the most common standard military armament, primarily due to it's combination of simplicity, power and ruggedness.

The discharge medium for all normal blast weapons is photonic, bound by a magnetic containment shell. High-amplitude photons are generated by the standard microfusion power supply.

The assault blaster rifle is, by far, the most common assault weapon. It is an extremely powerful weapon able to cause a significant amount of punishment in a short period of time.

The weapon uses a combination of a substantially reduced recharge time and a rotating sphere of focusing lenses to achieve the rapid fire effect. Conversion to rapid fire reduces the accurate range of the weapon, as well as increases the weapon's size.

The overload damage is twice the base weapon damage, not including any multiplier.
