Weapons are, you guessed it, devices meant to inflict harm. There are many different types as shown in the following lists: Ammunition, Assault, Artillery, Edged, Explosive, Pistols, and Rifles. The weapons listed are those that can be found in most modern AIF societies.
The Equipment listed are devices not necessarily intended for combat and are easily obtainable in most modern AIF societies.
![]()
Damage - the number of dice plus modifiers to roll for damage on a successful hit.
Cost - the cost in credits to buy this weapon.
Force - the force in Newtons that is inflicted to the target on every hit. The person using the weapon must be able to produce force equal to or greater than the force of the weapon to use it without bracing themselves. If the target is against a solid surface, then each 1000 Newtons of force inflicts an extra 1 point of damage.
(Optional Rule: When a target is not against a solid surface, then each 1000 Newtons of force inflicts a point of virtual damage.)
Range (accurate/effective) - the distance from weapon to target. Accurate range is the range between target and weapon where there is no negative to hit. Effective range is the absolute range of the weapon. If the range is beyond accurate range but within effective range, there is -10 to hit.
Stamina - (weapon/armour) - the amount of damage the weapon can withstand. The first value is the stamina of the weapon itself, and the second is the amount of armour protecting the weapon. Weapon armour is a standard level 3 armour unless otherwise stated.
Armour - the Armour Rating of the weapon.
Multiplier - for rapid-fire weapons, the multiplier value signifies how fast the weapon fires. When using a rapid-fire weapon, the damage may be spread amongst multiple targets and there is a bonus to hit.
Entanglement - for edged weapons, entanglement shows how much the attacker has to beat the defender by to entangle them with the weapon used. Once entangled, the target must expend dice to become untangled. This roll will be somehow based on agility and will probably be a cumulative process. We'll figure it out eventually.
Area of Effect - for explosives, area of effect defines how much volume an explosive device will effect. For more information see explosives.
Stun - weapons designated as stun will inflict Virtual Damage.
